Just got a Firehawk FX last week.  Got the firmware updated and am linked to my Ipad (glad that is over).  Now my confusion is regarding how I upload other users patches to sample different tones, etc..  If I go to the customtone tab on the line6 site, there is no option for the Firehawk FX?  What am I doing wrong?  Also, do the Helix patches translate to the Firehawk?  I love the tones I am getting thus far and couldn't justify the extra $800 for a Helix currently.  Is there stuff out there for the Firehawk or am I on my own?  Thanks much.

BTW:  This is my first upgrade since buying a POD 2.0 many moons ago.  I am a bit of a dinosaur, but like to keep things for as long as possible

You can also try the HD500X editor software on your laptop and then download some of the patches from the HD500X users tone sharing site cloud here on Line 6 and then load and view the settings on the editor software and enter in some of the settings into your effects unit manual (not all things will xfer over 1:1 of course) But no they don't xfer hence why they want you to buy the more expensive unit. More horsepower to do more and better tones/sounds.

Great idea. I'm going to try it out.

Not to downplay kinglexrt's suggestion, but it seems like a lot of work when there are already a lot of great tones to work and tweak from already available on the cloud in the Firehawk app. Choose the tones menu in the app and you can search by style, genre, song, or artist. You can also vote on tones, as well as save them in your app or to your Firehawk.
