scott58
Since I got this bean I've been messing around trying to record. I'm using Audacity's freeware and it doesn't really playback as well as what I can hear through the amp or headphone for that matter. Computer speakers are decent enough. Some kind of labtech subwoofer things. I'd have to look for exact model. I feel like I'm missing something here. Better software options? Never done this before. scott58
Thx this audacity. Is giving me fits. Everything sounds good when playing and I found a cab model that goes good with the pc speaker. But playback is muffled and muddy. I'll checkout reaper later tonight. mattbarden
I second Reaper. Great DAW and very inexpensive compared to some of the others out there. It's really user friendly and the stock plugins are pretty good too.
pfsmith0
I can't think of any reason why Audacity would playback all muddy unless the sample rate was too low. And make sure all it's Effects are turned off. And make sure it's playback channel doesn't invoke any SRS/Realtek/HD Audio effects built into Windows. I've found Audacity to be a nice robust no-frills recorder and playback device. You may want to check it's dither settings as well.
