Midi experts... Help!

Hi guys,

I have always used a very simple rig, guitar, few analogue pedals, valve amp. But have recently joined a band that requires a bit more versatility in my tone. So, I purchased a Hd500x.

I have been playing around with the amp modeling etc and am really impressed. But have found playing the Hd500x straight into the PA a little limiting. Usually the venues have poor monitoring so am playing blind.

I decided to experiment using the HD to add effects and change channels of my amp. So, I purchased a G Lab mac 4.4 to act as a Midi interface between the HD and the amp. I watched videos online of products like the amp gizmo etc and this seemed like a good budget alternative.

However I am now completely confused!

Has anybody out there tried this with any success? If so, would you be able to give me a simplified step by step?

The manual for the GLab is here: http://www.glab.com.pl/download/um_mac_14062011.pdf&ved=0ahUKEwizmcrzuYHTAhVJGsAKHbOWBwEQFggaMAA&usg=AFQjCNEEbgOJQ_i5B4TPPo9sRFZ2rnMq1A&sig2=Bxbd_TG2ElCCLiecEEdLEg

I'm using a Fender Blues deluxe amp, which just uses a stereo footswitch, one button for channel select and one for reverb on/off.

Any help is greatly appreciated!
