stargazerchris
Hello everybody, I purchased a Pod hd500x a couple of days ago. Everything seems to be working fine except when I plug in my headphones. For some reason only one side of the headphones work. I've tried half inserting it, twisting it around etc. Nothing works. May I add that the same pair of headphones work fine with my Android, Windows and Apple devices. Has anyone else faced the same problem? How do I solve this? Please help me.. Thankyou. silverhead
Sounds like you headphones use an 1/8" jack (Android, Windows, Apple). Make sure you are using a stereo 1/8" to 1/4" adapter for connecting to the POD HD500x.
stargazerchris
Thankyou silverhead. I am not really aware of this 1/8 and 1/4 thingy... But to plug in my headphones to the pod hd500x I do use an adapter of sorts. It looks like the end of a guitar cable basically.
pianoguyy
The adapter is typically the issue
stargazerchris
I didn't know this tiny thing is called an adapter. To me It just looks like the end of a guitar cable :3 Thanks guys. I'll replace the adapter. Cheers :)

It looks like the end of a guitar cable basically. if you measure the width of the two plugs, one of them is 3.5 millimeters, or roughly one-eighth of an inch. The other is one-quarter of an inch. The Stereo part... count the black rings on each. they should be at least two on each. also, some of the new headsets, it may not be black. stargazerchris
Oh! I never knew those black rings had a meaning. I thought the were just for style or grip. lollipop, I feel like an illiterate XD. I realized the problem, my adaptor thingy has only one ring, while my headphones have two. So I guess I have to change the adaptor. Thanks a lot pianoguyy.
