fg65082001
Hey guys I have a question that confused me for a long timeI don't have any stereo effect in my chain, all effect is mono.. So, I am using direct out mode XLR L out to PA MixerAnd XLR R to a IEM system for myself and other members to listen to ensure my best guitar sound. and I also want to use my 1/4 out L to plug in the Amp/Cab Return as a ampflier (NOT for F.O.H.) Because I want to give the front part of audience just listen only Drums (if we don't use Amp/Cab anymore)But i heard that there is a problem that it will cause the gear break becuz of the "Ground" will be the same between 1/4 and XLR output and it will make "Electricity backfeeding" damage the console and POD HD! REALLY?Can I use 3 output or even 4 output at the same time? Can Someone help me to solve my confusion, and tell me if there's other problem not include?Thx a lot! pianoguyy
Yes. You can use 4 outputs. But your left is left and your right is right. Some people want 4 separate outputs, which is not possible. You have 2 lefts and 2 rights. >>>or a left, a right, and a mono.
pianoguyy
As far as the ground issues ---- the unit, itself, is not a problem. But, in full disclosure, albeit a rarity, the issue is the problem with electrical gear all across the globe.
pfsmith0
The unit is not grounded thru the power supply connector (yes, there are only 2 contacts there). It is grounded thru the input/output analog (1/4", XLR) and digital (USB, SPDIF) signal connectors. I don't think you'l blow anything up unless your venue has faulty wiring between the PA mixer, IEM system, and FOH amp. The grounds for those 3 systems should be referenced to the same point (usually the fuse box in the US).
