PodHD500X + Bugera 1990 tube amp = thin, tiny sound?

I tried out the 500X on a Line 6 amp and a Crate amp.
Sounded great so I bought the 500x

But brought it home to my Bugera 1990 tube amp with Eminance 2X12 cab
and the 500X sounds really THIN and QUIET!!!

(yes the Bugera 1990 is the Marshall JVM {or is it jcm?} knockoff but 1/6th the cost, but good heavy

sound just like it)

I hooked the 500x up just like my analog pedals, but the sound is dinky,
figured there's something i need to know to get this going right?

Try setting the output mode to stack power amp and run a 1/4 out to the FX return and set it to line level...stick to the PRE versions of the amp models and you should be able to get some good patches going....later, you could try doing 4CM...it's a little more advanced, which is why I recomend using the FX return (power amp in) and just bypass the Bugera preamps....take that as a second step after you get under the 500....enjoy!

I use a Marshall JCM900 and 2x12 cab and I use the PODHD Studio Output into the FX Return.  I use only the Pre version of the Angel amp mostly.  Try some different Mic settings and see how it goes.  It will get there, it's just not easy.  What works for me or a particular amp or guitar may not work for you.  But it has enough different settings to get what you need.

On your amp is a FX loop level control. The HD needs an in series FX loop on the amp for proper compatibility.

I have a Marshal Hybrid that sounds shrill and lacks low end compared to my Fender Solid State when HD connected.

I gave up on it.

I hope you sort it.
