Helix signal path question

I'm struggling to create what I think is a pretty straightforward signal chain, can anyone help me please?

 

It would be this:

Guitar, three mono pedals, (Boost, comp, EQ, etc) into a stereo reverb that then spits the signal into stereo and feeds two ams planned hard left and right.

This is a setup I use with my pedals and amps and it's also a setup used by a lot of the modern jazz guys like Jonathan Kreisberg and Mike Moreno.

 

Also, I'm a bit confused by Wet-Dry-Wet explanation on the Sean Halley Helix vid. My understanding of WDW was that the signal was this: Left and right are wet signal only through two cabs hard left and right and the dry signal was fed to a central cab – correct me if I'm wrong but that that was the Bob Bradshaw method used by Mike Landau, Steve Lukather and maybe even Scott Henderson. Can this be achieved with the Helix or am I asking too much?

 

Also while I'm here, I'd love it if someone could explain the thinking behind some of the preset patches as the vast majority seem to be unusable or just plain bad.

 

Apart from that, I'm loving it.

For my Moreno/Metheny modern jazz sound sound I mix 2 cabs together and usually only pan hard right and left if I actually have 2 speakers on stage. WDW works as you described two speakers with 100% effected sound and a center speaker or cab that is completely dry, lots of guys have used or tried this setup, I wouldn't be surprised if any of those players have used this setup. You can achieve WDW setups with Helix. If you want I can send you my Metheny/Moreno-esque preset, I used delays similar to the way Metheny does to get that big sound. I used this preset for a whole gig this weekend and got some good compliments on the tone. 

 

As for presets, yes, some are better than others, but most just need a little tweaking. These presets were written on a different guitar, with different pickups, in a different room, with a different player, so your experience can vary. If you pull up a classic rock preset that was written with on a vintage strat with single coils and you plug in your doom-master 3000 guitar with active pickups you may not get the best tonal experience immediately, some presets need tweaking to match your guitar, playing style, etc.

I use mono 1/4 output to a Marshall jc2000 with 2 x 12 cabinet. XLR output left and right to 2 Laney IRT-X's for chorus, delay, reverb, so on. Sounds amazing and full...chorus the way it should sound!! Patches are very easy...

Sean's explanation video of WDW is more like wet/dry in the digital realm, going into one cab/IR block. True WDW incorporates 3 different amps/speakers, which you still can do in the digital realm without the physical speakers.

I'm really interested in your patch. Found nothing close to the "Kreisberg tones" on customtone
