i bought two new L3t from a german dealer nearby in July.
One was ok, the other had a deep dent/bump in the metal front grill.
I returned this one, but the dealer had no more new L3t but only a used showroom L3t.
I had a gig, so i took the used L3t with a discount.
The two L3t are connected to a M20d via L6 LINK 110Ohm AES cable. Speaker volume is at 12 o' clock, both are upright.
I do not use the mixer built in the L3t.
When the m20d is muted the used L3t has crackles, the new one is just silent.
The gig was ok, but unfortunately i did not justify the sound of the L3t with the Quick capture ...
Last weekend i had a DJ gig where i played mp3 over the M20d AUX IN.
The used L3t sounded broken, as if some frequency ranges were missing (i am no expert in loudspeakers ...).
I changed cables and played with the L6 LINK assignments (L, R, L+R)
but whatever i tried the used L3t still sounded broken...
Now i found out that the L3ts have different firmware. The used one seems to have 1.01 the new 1.03.
I tried to download the latest L3t firmware but could not find it anywhere.
Can it be a firmware issue?
How can i easily check if a loudspeaker is blown?
