Variax settings converted to Spider ???

Does anyone know of any documentation that converts Variax settings to Spider equivalents?

The Tone Templates refer to variax settings like T-Model 1, etc I think it would be fairly easy to approximate the equivalent on the Spider....for those in the know?

Any ideas?

Dear Uber G.,

I may be confused (I have been in the past).

I assumed that the tags (within the Tone Templates) like:
  •   Semi 3
  •   T-Model 1
  •    Lester 1

referred to effects combinations (rigs). Is Semi 3 just a guitar emulation? No implied effects?

I was thinking that if they were effects combinations they could be generally replicated on the Spider series.

Thanks, W.

If it was only that easy. There are reasons the Variax is not cheap because there is a whole next level of modeling going on that starts with individual piezos picking up each string's notes and processing according to what model is dialed in. They are really fun and you should check one out, even the old ones are a blast.

No, Semi-3 is not just a guitar emulation, Semi-3 is a GUITAR EMULATION!!!   ;)

But no, no implied effects.

Just out of curiosity, which Spider no you have?
