Is there a page on the Line6 site that has settings presets?  It seems that the stompbox modelers are the only product that doesn't have pages dedicated to posting and sharing of effect settings?  The Customtone page doesn't have one for these.  Can I use another category of Line6 products to get similar type settings?

i'm working to document the default settings for my recently acquired m5 right now. i want to better understand what's already on the pedal (which 24 of the "100+"), what i want to keep and what position i want it in. i haven't been able to find any sort of listing of these effects, or their settings. i don't believe there's a way to upload settings either, right? i have yet to investigate the program used to update firmware for the m5 (there isn't any, right?), but i don't get the impression that it transfers settings to the device, or allows you to back up the current settings.

i'm unsure if i can attach anything to these posts, but i'm making a spreadsheet and will share if i can. would love to hear from anyone else with helpful hints/tips for customization of the m5.

Edit: apparently midi cables and the monkey app can transfer settings. I need to get midi cables. Also, I see the ability to upload a file here now. Perhaps my spreadsheet can serve as more of a worksheet for presets. Stay tuned.

Edit 2: here is a list of he M5 presets. I will export the other effects, broken into separate sheets by effect type that may function as the aforementioned worksheet to set up your M5.

A bit late to this thread but it might help future Google searchers.

I'm an M5 user but it works similar on all M devices. You can select your desired effect, e.g. Analog Echo, tweak the knobs and save your personal settings onto one of the 24 available scenes slots.

You can then back up all your scenes (or just individual scenes) to your PC via MIDI-USB cable. A MIDI software (e.g. freeware like MIDI-OX) can listen to what the M5 sends and store it in a sysex file on your PC.

How you can initiate the dump process is described in the pilot handbook but mind they printed one mistake: The manual says "press and hold Tap while you press down on the model select knob" but it should say, "..press and hold On/Off while you press down on the model select knob."

This sysex file contains all your presets & settings that could theoretically be backed up or shared online to get a specific sound setting from someone else. But as you see it might be faster just to set it manually by visual reference or just by ear. It's not that easy to quickly share your settings and I think that's why M series is not part of the Customtone page.
