spikey Posted June 25, 2017 Share Posted June 25, 2017 So did I miss the info about not updating the firmware on a JT Variax thru Helix using Monkey? I could not update my Variax except thru the Variax Interface. It failed when I tried it thru Helix. Is this a bug or a feature? ;) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
silverhead Posted June 25, 2017 Share Posted June 25, 2017 I expect you would need to use Line 6 Updater -not Monkey - to update your JTV using Helix. But I haven't tried it so can't say for sure. phil_m Posted June 25, 2017 Share Posted June 25, 2017 Updating the JTV though the Helix isn't supported, because Line 6 Monkey doesn't support Helix, and you have to use Monkey to update the JTV (and, well, all the Variaxes). So, yeah, you need to use the little interface or one of the earlier Line 6 devices that's compatible with Monkey to update the JTV. The Helix only supports the JTV connection to Workbench HD.
