mandiboy
was interesting in the 240hc but saw that spider remote wont work with 30 pin ipad cables. Seems pretty %&^&U^* stupid to have an editor that has to be plugged in while not supporting pc or mac usb. Im not buying a new ipad and the ipod only has 9.3.5 so who knows if it will work. You lost a sale line 6 until you support those of us who dont buy into that app crap and want a regular pc/mac editor!!!!! Or you should have gone wifi and use any device dont see the point of spider remote if you are still plugged in

mjkellerii
Yes. I downloaded the editor a little while ago. This editor is a good start. I have a couple of questions... No window like the "Tones" window on the right side of the screen in the iPad App? It seems like you can only select tones which are saved in a bank on the Spider V - and/or save them to a PC file and load from there. Also no cloud tone search? Are the tones available in "CustomTone" on this site compatible? Which do I use if so? Spider IV?
guitardad123
I think the PC editor was more to give that option to users recording or editing presets. All the cloud stuff is based on Android and iOS sys, and AFAIK the only custom tone options are from the orig app as well since it works with Amplifi. What you can do for now until they add things to the PC Mac editors is use the orig app, Get your custom tones, save them to the amp, and then import them to computer editor. I know that seems like extra work but the original design seems based on mobile apps not PC/Mac. There isn't even an area on Custom Tone for any of the mobile app ready devices. Those are only available on mobile apps. I think I read the Spider V tones are most compatible with Amplifi or Firehawk, not previous versions of Spider amps.
