We are hear lot people saying that digital multieffect sounds 'too clean' or not dirty enough for some heavy rocker and purist player. So this Dirty output is basically analog circuit to add more color for end chain before guitar amp or separated line output which can be connected to amp. This feature consist two parameter for 'body warm' and "sizzle top high' to create more raw gritty sound. So its like win win solution for both guitar player and most sound engineer to achive great sound for live situation or studio session. The Helix gets pretty dirty as do some previous products, remember the "insane" amp/setting?! Have you tried running 4 cable method or perhaps a tube power amp or preamp after the modeling? The only ones complaining about modelers being "too clean" are life-long tube snobs who have no desire to convert in the first place. They don't WANT modeling to improve...it would interfere with their constant quoting of the "Gospel According to Tube", verses 12AX7 through EL34. ;) As for the rest of us, I'd say most folks aground here spend a fair amount of time trying to get rid of excess high-end "sizzle", so a knob that dials in more of it would just collect dust... 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
