Firehawk FX doesn't work

A few days ago, when switching standard presets, Firehawk FX stopped working, patch lights A and D light up, and the whole thing locks up, requiring a re-boot (just like here

). Now, when you turn on the Firehawk FX, it activates the pedal calibration mode and does not respond to any actions (you can see on the attached photo)

Could it be the "A" footswitch is stuck down? Powering on with the A footswitch pressed enters pedal calibration mode..

Perhaps if you try to complete the pedal calibration it might start.. instrctions below:

1. Hold down footswitch A while powering on the unit. At startup the display will show “00†and footswitch D LED will be lit.
2. Press footswitch D to begin. The display will change to “01†and footswitch D LED will turn off.
3. Press the pedal forward firmly to toggle the pedal toe switch. The display will change to “02†and footswitch D LED will be lit.
4. Move the pedal to the heel position.
5. Press footswitch D. The display will change to “03†and footswitch D LED will be lit.
6. Move the pedal to the toe position (do not click the toe switch).
7. Press footswitch D. The display will change to “04â€.
8. Move the foot pedal and watch the values change on the display. Values will scroll from a min. of 0 to a max. of 99.
9. Press footswitch D to save the calibration values. The display will change to “05â€.
10. Power cycle the unit and your pedal is calibrated.

Wow! None of my Line 6 boards have ever frozen... and I own 3: PodXT Live, HD500X, and Firehawk FX. Looks like a jaw-dropping experience. You say it happens when switching between "standard" presets, so I assume you didn't change any of the FX parameters within those presets. That shouldn't make a difference, but you never know... If you did change parameters, it would be nice to know your exact settings, so I could replicate the scenario. Who knows? You might have uncovered a software bug.

In any case, have you tried doing a Factory Reset? Hold down the Master Volume Knob and TAP footswitch at the same time while powering on the unit. That will restore your Firehawk FX to Factory Settings, BUT be sure to back up your saved presets to "My Tones" first. It's recommended that you recalibrate your pedal afterwards by following the instructions outlined above by "richiecat".

I notice that you posted this problem one month ago. It would be nice to have a follow-up so we could know what happened. Thanks.
