Nope - not possible. Footswitch control is limited to the options described in the manual.

I see that a quick record is can be managed with a footswitch. So when when we have a rehearsal I would like to start and end the recording of each session with a footswitch without touching the m20d. Not only for 20 seconds. Is that possible?

Thank you for an answer

...And I'm guessing it's been arranged that way for the very good reason that an accidental momentary "tap" could otherwise fill an SD card, requiring an inordinate amount of subsequent "messing about" before an actual session of intentional multitrack recording could commence.

I guess you can always use a wave editor to remove the dead space before playing actually starts This could be a temporary fix until that they add a mode selection in the foot switch menu.

this seems ok. not really for me ;-) but it's ok.

But: why does the quick record function (20 seconds) not work. <when I press the footswitch the green start arrow starts to shine and not the red recording button.
