the_bees_knees22
So.. I moved to a new apartment, and I stupidly have my dt25 power cable mixed in with a bunch of others. I thiiiink it's this one that says MAX10A 125V. Anyone know of the proper cable I need before I go plugging this in willy nilly? thanks! CipherHost
I'm not 100% sure I am using the original one, but my DT25 power cable says 300V, (18AWG) and Puxin among a couple other things. Maybe someone else can take a look at theirs.
spaceatl
No such thing as a stupid question. What is stupid is not to ask. In terms of power cables, the exact same approach applies as it does to speaker cables...The bigger the gauge of the wire, the better. In theory, since the power input stipulates 300 watts....The ideal cable would be one rated at 25 AMPS...If you are running the amp at full using a power soak or something, you might want to using 10 or 12 AWG....You should be fine with what you have IMO. Get yourself a 15A one if you can find it....You can go to Home Depot and make one if you want a big one....You could make an 8AWG and never worry about it...
