HIM_sucks Posted November 30, 2017 Share Posted November 30, 2017 hi, so i've had a ux2 for some years with no issue, until today when i realized it will not receive an instrument input signal. instrument inputs are selected in the mixer screen, instruments and cables i've tried are all known to be working (through use in other amps), meters set to 'input' rather than 'output' shows nothing, all my drivers etc are up to date, i tried turning it off and on again, i tried shutting down, unplugging, re-selecting hardware from podfarm preferences window, no luck. is my unit broken? that would be unfortunate, it has been a while since i bought it so it is probably no longer in warranty, but, i have also purchased model packs, which will be rendered useless if the unit doesn't work. i don't really like the idea of just losing the money i had spent on line 6 products... what should i try next? thanks for any advice Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

So the license to use them would be with your account, not the ux2, the ux2 you have only comes with the license for podfarm, fx junkie model pack and cubase le. I don't have any thoughts to offer on why it's gone dead or what to try, but if it is broken, you can pick a second hand unit up pretty cheap and still use your model packs Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

HIM_sucks Posted December 1, 2017 Author Share Posted December 1, 2017 thanks for you're replies.i hadn't thought of just getting a second hand unit if i need to, that is helpful. it's just been working fine for so long how i might need to replace it has never been a thought.for monitoring it is connected via the phone jack to a mixer and in turn to some dedicated monitors, it's not very glamorous but has always worked well. i use audacity for recording.the unit still outputs regular signal if i am to play a music file or whatever, i just get no instrument or microphone signal either in podfarm or elsewhere. the analogue meters work normally for output. if i set them to input they display nothing. i am on windows 7, i've tried multiple cables and usb ports, it's looking like a replacement will be needed unfortunately. bumdrokstar Posted September 22, 2018 Share Posted September 22, 2018 I get no response in the software or on the interface when I plug in instruments to the instrument input. I have updated the drivers and I have instrument selected in pod. Can't figure out why my instrument inputs won't work. Mic inputs work fine. Yes my knobs are turned up and I tried every usb port.
