Gaz_Ham
So podfarm does pretty much everything I want it to do, bar feedback when holding the long high notes at the end of a riff Does anyone know of a setting for this? Or is that a limitation that reamping has?
fflbrgst
You can use a compressor setting to extend note time (it essentially just keeps raising the volume). But 'feedback' comes from the interplay of the sound coming out of an amp's speaker being picked up by the guitar's pickups and also vibrating the strings. Electronically-only, that just doesn't work. That's why I've gone back to recording 95% of my electric guitar playing through my Spider amp rather than PodFarm, as I used to do. Reamping is playing the recorded signal back out through an amp and re-recording that, but it won't give you a real 'feedback' sound as the guitar is no longer involved. If you mean running the LIVE sound out from PodFarm through an amp, you could try it, but your latency would need to be very low.
Gaz_Ham
Thanks for clearing that up. Looks like I'm using the Vetta for solos and tid bits after all! The podfarm interface is much easier than programming the Vetta, but it's not a real issue.
