Before I pull the trigger I started thinking about how long the HD archetecture will last before it is replaced. The X factor is essentially the same archetecture with more power. You can use the HD500 you have as a foot controller for it. Line 6 doesn't seem to dedicated to modeling lately. Been pretty much silent for a year now.
