gregovertone
just upgraded from the pod hd desktop to the hd pro. using the same usb cable. using the same spidf. using the same outlet. bla modded digi002r. open up my pod template: ch 17/18 stereo, via spidf in. i'm getting clocking related pops and clicks. i've tried seemingly every combo of master slave stuff. SO--- does the pod PRO need both spidf I/O to be occupied to clock correctly? why would the desktop work, but not the pro?
loreweaver
by my experience the spdif in hd pro is extremely bad compared to the pod XT pro!!!! i had the same issue during recordin... with a motu interface........ i had to exchange continuously the master slave setting due to recording or reamping.... but the major issue is that you can't simply connect in and out ..... you have to connect just the spdif out of the pod during recordind (master spdif).... then if you want to reamp connect the spdif in of the pod (slave) and reamp trhu xlr of jack.......... there is no way to keep both the connection actives..... i tried with 3 differend audio interface and almost 5 spdif cables.......... hope this help
gregovertone
i'm experimenting at the moment. i added a cable to make sure the spidf I/O on both the 002 and the pod pro were connected (instead of pod OUT 002 IN). I had to adjust my clock settings....but at the moment, things seem to be stable. I believe my issue in my system was related to that. it would also explain why the POD hd desktop worked on 1 cable (ie: doesn't have an input).
