Variax 700 Acoustic

Hello,

If your Variax is cutting out while you play there must be a hardware problem with the guitar or it's power switch and cables if you are using the XPS power supply with the Variax 700.  In this case, you should take the Variax and all related components to an authorized service center for evaluation and repair to an authorized service center:

I've been having a similar problem with my 700 electric. Everything starts out fine but in under 10 minutes it will shut off. I unplug the 1/4 jack and plug it back in and it works for only a few seconds. Issue seems to happen when I'm hooked up to larger amps of 100 watts or more. Practice amps don't seem to have the issue.

The guitar has no idea what size amp you are plugging into.  Are you using batteries?????  If not, I would try running on batteries.  I never use the power supply with my 500 - only rechargeable AA batteries.  One bad battery will lower the voltage enough so that it will cut out.  You need at least 7 volts for it to work.

I've been having a similar issue with mine. It works fine with the ethernet cable through my POD hd 500x but with a tps through the same it cuts out to the amp. Unplug and plug it back in only engages it for less than a minute. This used to be my go to guitar for jamming. Maybe just a new 1/4 jack?
