hamtheman222
Hi there, I'm wondering if I were to buy a HD500x could I control my amp channels with it? I have a Randall V2 which uses a MIDI footswitch for all the channel changing. Would the HD500 work as a footswitch as well as FX unit? Cheers, Sam
TheRealZap
you could possibly do that via midi, doesn't work amps that use a standard footswitch for channel changes though.
hamtheman222
The V2 uses a 5 way MIDI footswitch
TheRealZap
as long as you know what commands you need to send from the amp, should be pretty simple.... of course i say that not knowing the specifics of your amp and never having done that... jjojjo422
I used the x3 live to do it with my Randall nbking 100. It's pretty easy once you figure it out. If there's a button that switches the channels on the front you can use it to save a program change message (midi message) and every time you switch to that patch it will change the amp to whatever channel you save it to. Here's a demo I made bc I searched everywhere and called line 6 n Randall n no one could tell me. I had to figure it out on my own. So you def can use ANY line 6 product to switch your amp channels if it's a Randall. Hope this helps. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=BA2Wkx0Z4Wo
