I had some fun trying to imitate as I can the sound of a sacred monster of rock "D.Gilmour", a true musical father and guru for me, I've always loved his playing so much..

the models I used in this clip are: Variax 700 Strato bridge PU and an HD500 Hiwatt amp plus other few FXs..

the details and settings are visible under the soundcloud track:

Wow, excellent! From memory, it might need a little more drive and a lot more verb.

...From memory, it might need a little more drive and a lot more verb...

thanks man for your comment..

from what I know Gilmour used really a lot the delays and not much the reverb if any, so probably I would have to go a little heavier especially with the delay FX..

I also agree that the drive might be a little more ..

in the original tune I think there are also 2 different distorted guitar tracks overlapped, and in my audio clip is just one..

however, I didn't want to produce an exact copy of the original, and I was more interested in showing a nice blues-rock sound inspired by him which in addition to being a great rock music author I have always considered also a great blues player..

and to do this I used roughly the same effects and amp he used at the time
