Is it possible to sweep amp models using the expression pedal?

How could I make one amp model sound on the toe position of the expression pedal and other amp model sound on the opposite position?

pretty sure you can just bind the expression pedal to the channel volume... make sweep for amp 1= 1-100 and amp 2=100-1

 

(or whatever min/max volumes you wish really)

It is possible this way, but I prefer to put a pan before channel 1/2.

Advantage: you can easy adjust the output of the 2 amps by the volume separate!

I too, use a panner before the split or after the mixer, depending on what sound I'm looking for.
Using the channel volume on the amps can be interesting though, if it is the effect you're after.

I use a pan after the mixer.

 

Depending on what you want to achieve, placement is everything.
