this will work very well.  either the flip top or bassman would be good starting points, or perhaps just using the "tube preamp" depending on your taste.

Just wondering if this would be possible to run a bass, through a podhd 500x, line6 linked to a stagesource L2t. Appreciate any advice, thanks.

Don't see why not. The Flip Top is actually a bass amp. So if it's got a bass amp and some bass effects I'd be shocked if you couldn't I' D be shocked.
