I recently broke my ux2. I've been thinking of buying a pod hd 500. I know POD HD has a better amp modelling and is very good for playing live.  However, i think POD FARM allows me to experiment with guitar effects because better than the pod HD.

Can I use the POD HD 500 the same way I use my UX2?

Yes - the HD500 is a hardware audio interface like the UX2.

However, your Pod Farm software license may be tied to your UX2. You may have to purchase a new hardware independent Pod Farm license to be able to use it with the HD500.
