marosggg2 Posted December 13, 2013 Share Posted December 13, 2013 I am connecting my sm7b directly into the pod desktop bean, and I get no feedback whatsoever. I was using a fast track interface as a preamp sort of deal and I heard that the HD desktop has a preamp somewhere on it, but I cannot find it. Can anyone help? phil_m Posted December 13, 2013 Share Posted December 13, 2013 Have you selected mic as the input for the tone you're trying to use? As far as the preamp, it's in with the effects. HDProJohn Posted December 13, 2013 Share Posted December 13, 2013 The SM7 is dynamic and needs a strong signal. I've found that I need to run the Vintage Pre (hot) and also use the LA-2A with a bunch of output (how much you compress is up to you).
