Elementgreen
Hey guys, I have a Shure SM57 that I pretty much use for all of my recording (for now, until I can afford some more mics), and I find it very difficult to get good output out of my dynamic mic without getting white noise/hiss. I know it's not my cables or my mic because the same hiss is there when I crank the preamp up without anything plugged in. I've tried a lot of different things to try to get past this issue, but, nothing seems to work. Even if I have the preamp gain low, the hiss is just as present when I turn up the volume (in my DAW) in order to get the track to an audible level. Maybe I should just buy a condenser?
