jukejointjimmy
So, when packing up my HD 500 after playing at church this morning, I noticed a rattle as though something has broken or come loose inside the chassis........the unit works perfectly fine, but I'm about a.) What it is floating around in there, and b.) What kind of damage it might do....... My question is, should I find a repair center to investigate or should I crack it open to see what it is? Thoughts? silverhead
It could do damage if it's a bit of metal and moves to a place where it short-circuits some of the electronics. If your HD500 is still under warranty I would take it to a repair centre. If not I would remove the chassis and have a look.
jukejointjimmy
Thanks for the reply......unit is long out of warranty, so I think I will go huntin'. Ever opened on of these up.....nothing tricky about it I hope!?
jukejointjimmy
Ok, opened her up and found a stray tiny nut.....unfortunately, searched everywhere I could get to and couldn't find it's home so I closed it back up and can only hope nothing springs loose........
