StratoSphere82 Posted January 23, 2014 Share Posted January 23, 2014 Will Sonic Port users be able to access the new AMPLIFi app? Or is the AMPLIFi app only to be used with the actual AMPLIFi amp? I just purchased a Sonic Port not that long ago and while I really like the device itself, the Mobile POD app is just average. If Line 6 doesnt have plans to improve the Mobile POD app, I definitely think Sonic Port users should be able to use the new AmpliFi app to get new/improved tones. radatats Posted January 27, 2014 Share Posted January 27, 2014 you can use the Sonic Port / Mobile POD app and stream your output to the AMPLIFi which you can in turn control with the AMPLIFi app. Of course you can also stream from BIAS, Amplitube, Garage Band etc. and still use the AMPLIFI app just to control the amp itself. I know the AMPLIFI will play your streamed audio but it is not clear whether that streamed audio can be processed by the onboard amp sims and effects. You may only be able to do all your guitar processing within your iGear and use another iOS product to mix with other audio and then stream the final signal to the AMPLIFI for actual amplification, like a glorified boom box.
