adolfocr
Hi All I'm trying to reset a variax 500 using a pod xt. Is that possible? Thanks a lot
silverhead
Resetting the Variax requires reinstalling the firmware. In order to do that, Monkey needs to recognize the Variax connection to your computer. There are two ways to connect your Variax to your computer so that Monkey can see it: - use the Workbench hardware interface. Monkey sees the Variax directly - use your Pod xt. Monkey sees the Variax connected through the xt. So the answer is yes and no. Yes, as long as your pod xt is also connected to your computer. No if it is not. adolfocr
Thanks. I've been trying that with no results. Question: I am connecting the digital out of the variax 500 to the pedal digital input on the pod xt. I've tried with the trs cable connected and without it but either way it didin't work. I don't find in the forums what I'm not ding right. Thanks.
silverhead
I should have asked earlier - do you have the Pod xt or the Pod xt Live? Only the xt Live has the VDI (Variax Digital Input) connection. You can't digitally connect the Variax to the bean-shaped Pod xt, so if that's what you have you will have to use the Workbench hardware interface to reset the Variax. adolfocr
That's what I was just about to ask. Have the bean one. Don't have the workbench. Sad for me... by now. Thanks
