Hi everyone,

i'm writing this few words to say all of you my disappointment with my guitar JTV69.

I bought it in november 2012 and after a first neck change for a broken trus rod, and a second change cause they return me the guitars with extremely necks' misalignment, they replace my guitar with a new one but with the same misalignment of the neck, i'm waiting a reply from italian support. They say that guitar is in perfect condition but it isn't.

What can i do?!??!

After six month i haven't my guitar yet, and they don't want to refound me my money;

i'm hopeless.

This is my problem:

Many thanks all of you and to everyone of line6's staff that will reply to my post.

Bye

submit a support ticket. go to the support page, you'll find it there. it looks like a manufacturing flaw. and i think line 6 should fix it without any thought or hesitation. and i am sorry, it can be very disheartening. i hope you get this mistake corrected. i also think there should be zero cost to you. get mad

Italian support is aware and working on your issue. I think given your location, the request to work with your local support is reasonable.

hi guys,

i have a little question for you...

for the newest jtv69's productions  (with humbacker model ) do you know if any changements have been made from the earliest models (2011) to 2012/13 production? such as the tremolo bridge or internal hardware?

I bought it in october 2012 but they always send me guitar with 2011 serial number. For example: have the jtv69 in production now the new tremolo with new wiring?

Many thanks

I hope they resolve this issue fastly cause i love this guitar.

Ps.

while i'm waiting for a line6 reply i'm playing the latest guitar they send me and i found that this one has extremely less latency then the other when i use alternative tuning.

thats why i was particular about saying hardware, because i knew that they changed the way they did the wiring around the trem.

some really early ones, i may have read, took a different trem bar...

do you have an issue of some sort?

the fact that you have a 2011 rather than a 2012 guitar is not in and of itself a problem.....

no idea what you mean by tremolo intonation (2 unrelated things) or nut capo (2 also unrelated things)

the threads that you link to, are other peoples issues and if you're worried you "might" have them... that's just being silly... you either have the issues or you don't.

I'm saying that i have the same situatione of the other guys in the thread i reported in my post.

My tremolo doesn't return in the same position after using,

and the e-strings fall out of the edge.

These are the facts.

so i'm asking: why after seven month i haven't yet a conforming guitar i paid for ?

It's really incredible from a great factory such as Line6

I'm really delude

the difference between a jtv69 and a jtv69-us is more the 2x the cost. is that correct?

okay so what you are saying is that you have real issues with your variax... (the fact that it was made in 2011 is largely irrelevant)

if you are at the 7 month mark, I highly recommend you pursue warranty repair immediately...

all of the issues you linked to are known issues and can be fixed.

there are really no further assistance you can get from the forums, other than some users perhaps recommending new necks or taking apart yourself...

none of which i would pursue if you still have a valid warranty... in fact it would not surprise if the neck issue in particular would be addressed regardless of the warranty status.

I do not know this for a fact, but the neck issues have been acknowledged as an issue from the factory.

in any case.... find and contact a service center:

http://line6.com/service_centers/

or open a support ticket and those guys will hepl you get this resolved.

the principally important thing i would know from this forum is if the jtv69 builted in the 2012 has the new bridge wiring,  cause i'm disappointed with my supplier that in a transaction started and finished in october/november 2012 sent me a product with old hardware.

this is not correct.

However i'll write an umpteenth mail to my support center from Proel.

I go into all more details of The JTV-69 Tremolo issues which I'm proud it became a sticky on the old Line 6 Tyler Variax Forum

Both 2010 1st generation JTV-69 Bridge (with push in Tremolo Bar) and 2011 2nd generation JTV-69 Bridge (with screw in Tremolo Bar) are pictured.

OK thanks....i have tried to understand better this post  http://line6.com/support/thread/73637 and i have the second

generation bridge with the wrong wiring in the first photos.

"let's try the opposite approach.... why don't YOU post pictures of your issues and we'll get some eyes on them and see if we can't find someone that can help you."

The reason cause i've asked a photo is that i should understand why buying a guitar in november 2012 i have to receive one products with the same issues verify in the 2011. Why? Why line6 is still selling, in 2012, guitars with the old wiring ? it is not correct. it is unprofessional and incorrect for customers. Ok Line6 produced guitars in 2011 with this type of wirinng....it has verified that is incorrect? ok sell the guitars but solves the problem before ship the products.

this is my dubt

listen, i'm trying to get you some help... and eventually a correct and working guitar....

forget about the dates 2011/2012... doesn't matter. it's not like they wait until new years eve to change things...

there may be good or bad in either year...

what i'm suggesting is that you show us your issue, and then we can start getting them addressed...

if your only issue is that you got a new guitar from some warehouse somewhere that happened to have the wrong year for your taste... then too bad...

no manufacturer or reseller guarantees you a manufacturer date... just a new piece of gear unless otherwise stated.

i'm not going to respond or attempt to help you further unless you also start trying to help yourself....

and pictures of your exact issue would be a good place to start.

listen...ok forget the year 2011 2012.....i have already told that my problem is the same in the link that i posted (for tremolo stability and misallineament of the neck) and i don't undestand why line6 is still sending this guitar with this kind of problem..it's not important the year but the action of send a guitar with "old problems".
i understand that i have to try to make the modification like in the topic "tremolo set up"  but i still don't understand why i have to made this modification by myself when is the producer that must garantee the customer.
only this...
so now i'm going to try to make what our friend write in the link that i posted. With extremely disappointing but line6 after seven months is still silenting about...and have not solved my issues.

thanks for your time

Dude - RealZap is telling you to forget about the year thing.  There are lemon guitars in every year.  It's not like Line6 is trying to make bad guitars.  Guitars have been mass-produced now for years and because of that the quality that was there when they were hand-made is no longer financially feasible.  It's not just Line6.  Have you tried a Gibson or Rickenbacker lately?  Many of them suck.  Post the details of your problem and let the Line6 support team do their thing to help you.  Leave out the attitude and stick to the facts.  Problems get solved much more efficiently that way.  Sorry to bring the hammer down, but I've been reading your posts and slamming Line6 is not the way to get their help.

Sorry, your telling lollipop.

You told us, that your problem with your JTV was a broken trus rod, after the replacement of the neck a misalignment of the strings, what could be caused by a wrong angle of the neck. The linked post deals with noise by the wiring of the piezos around the trem. There is no correlation to misalignment of strings!

Next thing is: You have problems with your Italian dealer, not with Line 6. They have to give you warrenty of the sold items and even he will not send your guitar to US for repairing, but will have a certified service center for this issue. So quarrel with your dealer and go to a lawyer if your instrument is still not in order.

Next thing: Not Line 6 sold you an older guitar, but your dealer does.

Next thing: You have no right to insist on the absolut newest production date! But you have the right to withdraw from a deal, when the product is faulty! A guitar will not mature, but a good tonewood will sound better by age. This is caused by some changes in the structure of the wood.

So please come to the right decision and start a court battle with your dealer, if you thing you have the right. But stop nagging around here. A lot of people tried to help you, take it or leave it!

...line6 european support  quickly support me and they have sent me another brand new guitar (the third) that seems to be without any of this kind of issues.

It could be a sort of strange event but this one have been produced on october 2012 and there aren't the same issues of the other produced in 2011...it is a good guitar and now i'm very happy to take out every possibility from it with my pod hd500.

thanks every one
