In the Open menu you should change the file extension filter to All Files to be able to see your "old" HD Pro presets which you have saved before with HD Pro Edit inside the new HD Pro X Edit later. No really need to change the file extensions if you do it that way. But changing file extensions can make it easier, because you would save changing the open filter.
