So, is there any way to setup the following: EXP1 = no effect block, directly control Amp volume EXP2 = effects block for Wah pedal External pedal = control Amp drive I am on the latest available versions and utilizing a Mission Engineering EP-L6 pedal. phil_m Posted January 29, 2014 Share Posted January 29, 2014 Well, really, you can control as many parameters as you want to with the expression pedals. You're just limited to the two pedals. But, I don't think there's a way that you'll be able to control all those things independently. One thing you could do is set up the external pedal (EXP1) to control the amp drive, then set up the onboard pedal (EXP1) to control wah and also control a volume pedal after the amp block. The volume pedal effect would do essentially the same thing as controlling the amp volume. You would have to have it set up so that you have the both the wah and volume turned off and on by the expression pedal toe switch and have them toggled opposite of one another - when wah is on, volume is off and vice versa. This means, though, that when you switch to wah, your volume will be at max. The other option is to buy a JTV Variax. :) With that you get two additional controllers - the volume and tone knob on the guitar. You can use them like extra expression pedals essentially. What exactly is your request? There's only the onboard pedal and the one external expression pedal input. How do you propose they expand it? pfsmith0 Posted January 29, 2014 Share Posted January 29, 2014 Why can't you put the FX Loop block after the amp and route the analog signal thru a normal volume control pedal and then route it back in? That would essentially control amp volume, right? You now have 3 separate controls - EXP1 for drive, EXP2 for wah, and the analog pedal for amp volume. Wouldn't this work?
