backb0ard Posted February 1, 2014 Share Posted February 1, 2014 So I bought a Ux1 and tried plugging a Samson Q7 in(which definitely works). The dry output is very weak, barely hits 30 db. So in Podfarm, I hit the +18 db and I use a preamp to set the drive to 50. The output can hit 18 db which is still pretty weak but that makes the sound very thin and also amplifies the noise to bad levels. In addition, no amount of tweaking with the Mic Gain knob produces any audible difference. Is this really how the Ux1 works? Line 6 monkey says all green, and the instrument output works well.
