So if I buy the Amplifi 150 this weekend. Get it home.

Plug it in. Grab my iphone with the correct IOS version.

Bluetooth link it.

Playa new Sabbath song thru it.

I will in fact receive a tone that matches pretty close to the album.

That's what I am excited about.

Or do I have to wait till a user who hopefully has a better tone ear then me posts something to cloud that sounds close.

Until the library gets huge, you will get fairly generic tones from the metadata. They would need tweaking.

 

A ton of songs come back with Southern Fried Rock. So you need to adjust it toward the tone you are really after.

 

Frankly, for  me a good Fender clean and crunch, a good Marshall crunch, and close to a Dumble clean, and that's most of what I would use amp wise.

Try it out. Install the free amplifi app and play a sabbath song of your choice and see what it downloads. From what I can see it will download tones based in several bits of info, including the artist name. In guessing there will be plenty of sabbath tones already.

I just uploaded a tone I call Methademic. Pretty close to the Sabbath "13" tone. Try it out!
