What I am trying to accomplish
Use a POD HD 500X/ProX for compressor, wah, maybe distortion pedal, and tuner....then straight to the instrument input to each amp so that I get the full sound of each amp, but no horrible record scratch oscillation....
What you want is perfectly doable with the 500X or the Pro. Set up your FX chain inside the POD however you want using no amp modeling and you will be able to pass that signal out the left and right outputs, one to each of your amps. You can also place any of your current pedals in the POD's FX loop.
If you want to send the exact same signal to each amp, set the mixer as the last block in the chain and pan both sides to center. If you want to send a completely different set of effects to each pan hard left and right and that way each signal would be completely separate. For instance a clean signal with delay and compression to one amp and a heavy signal with distortion or overdrive to the other.
This will open up a whole new level of possibilities for you...Go to the full post
