Got a sweet deal on an M13 pedalboard; bought it last night from a guy I found on Craigslist. Came with an expression pedal, the pedalboard case, and a G50 wireless unit! Loving that thing, I might end up switching up to running that instead of the VDI - though I am still working on the "dual" input / dual amp model idea, so we'll see. The wireless is killer though, wasn't looking for that, but for the price it was a steal, and it all came as a bundle.
The pedalboard it's mounted on is pretty heavy duty, I may downsize it at some point; maybe put my analog pedals on this thing, and move the M13 to my Pedaltrain board (if it fits!)
Anyway, I stayed up way too late last night jamming and messing around with layering the M13 effects into the HD500 effects loop. Sounds fan-friggin'-tastic! The "on deck" function of the M13 is amazing, you have a huge number of pedals that can be toggled on off individually, or as preset scenes, way cool. It sounds really nice in the FX loop too, set the HD500 fx loop switch to "stomp" and not "line", seemed to sound correct that way.
I gotta reduce the floor space of all this stuff though, it's getting ridiculous! I need a cool trippy carpet to set up on stages
Anyway, here's some pics from last night - will probably take a pass at reconfiguring the layout after work tonight. I didn't try to work the Keeley pedals in yet, will try that tonight, see how it works out. Guessing the analog pedals are going to add some unwanted noise and possible ground loop issues; not sure. The M13 and HD500 run totally silent together rigged together like that, the M13 in the effects loop of the HD500.
Was thinking I would run the wireless out to the analog pedals, and use the second out (tuner out) from the wireless transmitter to feed the tracking portion of the noise gate (it wants a direct feed from the guitar to determine actual note decay, even though the noise gate portion of the circuit is intended to be near the end of the signal chain, but before the delays and reverbs).
