Toneport Ux1 Issue! Last Resort

Recommended Posts

hi guys sorry but im going to have to join the club and quiz your minds with a sound issue.

I recently bought a toneport ux1 (I think its a few years old) but im having serious issues with the audio, its fine for 30 seconds then suddenly all this choppy crackling kicks in.

My pc is a Dell studio xps running windows 7 -

what I have done to try and resolve the issue;

1. Tried it on another pc ( it worked fine, used exactly the same settings)

2. Deleted and reinstalled all latest drivers - using line6 monkey

3. Updated my pc

4. searched endlessly online for an answer!

Im hoping someone can give me some advice - THANK YOU in advance!

Just for clarification, the newest version of Monkey sees it and has green ticks for everything?

Also try all your USB ports.

Can you post a clip of the choppy crackling?

If it works well on another pc, it may be a USB chipset issue in which cause adding a USB PCI card might solve it.

Here are some USB Troubleshooting tips.

Yeah all have green ticks, after you saying that i started again from scratch and re-downloaded everything so im 100% sure its up to date.

I have tried all usb ports, recently plugged a friends ext. soundcard into the pc and had the same issue. Whats the best way to get you an audio clip of the noise? Will try the usb troubleshooting.

Apreciate the help.

Are you saying a friend's USB soundcard is behaving the same way on your pc?

How are you monitoring your sound? Headphones or powered monitors connected directly to the UX?

If you do not already have a DAW you can try Reaper for free.
