Hello Everyone,

I finally got an HD500 and sat down to record some stuff, aaand failed. I'll try to describe this issue (?) as best as I can.

What I used:

Line6 POD HD500

Ibanez RGR320EX

How I used it:

Connected the POD HD500 with USB to my computer

Output: studio direct

1/4" Out: Line

Software: Reaper, set to ASIO

According to Monkey my device is up-to-date. (driver: 4.2.7.1; flash mem: 2.31)

So, I've downloaded some presets that I liked from customtone, but I was really disappointed with the results. But had the same result with built-in tones. Best way to show is with some examples.

Factory tone, 1D: Metal

Custom tone: Djent lead +DL There's even a Youtube video linked to this one (link also in the soundcloud file). Now, I'm well aware that I can never expect to have the very same sound as the maker of patch had. In fact, he might have made some heavy mixing on the video, but still, what I got...is extreme

And another one from custometone: 8 string djent tone Maybe I'm expecting too much from the POD500HD? Is this something you would call decent tone? (WARNING: louder than the previous 2)

Is this how it should work? Am I a complete noob, or is there something wrong with my device/setup? I went through a lot of tutorial videos, but to no avail. At this point I really feel helpless. I hope someone can take the time to take a look at this situation and help me solve it (if there's anything to be solved)

Thank you in advance for any help, or tips that you can give me. Please let me know if there's anything else that would help someone expert in this device figure this out.
