Complaint Dept

When I first got my Amplifi, I came back to the Line 6 forums to learn and pass on anything about the Amplifi. This whole forum seems nothing more than a complaint dept. Way more dissing of the product than actually trying to work within the framework of it's design,

It has done everything I have asked from it, in spades.

So there.....

PS - I am willing to bet this will be another thread full of complaints and worse.

Not absolute. Check the Pod Hd area, and you will see, few people are bashing, less are praising or creating some guides, but most have problems... And this is the normal.. Now, think why this happens mostly for amplify.

Hey the Amplifi 150 is great but has a few short comings and over representations which I detailed in my suggestions/complaints. look them up.

These manufacturers need the feedback to make the product even better or create new ones. It is all good. No reason for them to get their panties in a bunch.

Seriously, the 150 ought to be a 300 watt unit and have an adjustable bass sub-woofer or otherwise it has no business being sold as a music player and "party stereo" among the features advertised let alone being a "gig" level amplifier.

I see a tremendous music education potential on top of the other stuff.

I just hope that they listen to us. After all, I put $499 on it. I could have gone another route but I decided to give it a shot. In my case I already have a 60watt tube amp a 2x12 and 4x12 plus a PA system, so this unit is just icing on the cake, instructional and functional with the technology available.

Hi Guys,

I have one on hold at my local music store but after reading some of the posts here, I'm having second thoughts. I really want something that will work for live performance and this unit seems a little weak for that. Limited preset control and weak sound seem to be a consistent issue with many contributors to this forum.

To really get the benefit it seems like you must get the pedal and an iPod so....more bucks to spend. Even then, it seems live performance is not a strong use even though the ads say it is. The tone matching feature really sounds interesting if it really works and the Blue Tooth sound cool too but there seems to be issues with those functions as well.

Also, why not at least allow usb connection like previous Line 6 or Fender Mustang stuff?

Has any one used this amp in an actual performance environment...Like in a bar standing next to a full grown drummer! Of course you can mic up to get to the audience but I wonder if there is even enough volume to be able to hear yourself?

Any thought would be greatly appreciated.

IMHO, the HD series is more suited to live performance. Not that the Amplifi couldn't be used for gigging, but if you want versatility, HD is the way to go.

I'm also a big Line 6 fan who was going to buy AMPLIFi 150. Once I hoped the Tone Matching function would work by Bluetooth connection between the AMPLIFi and my iDevices, but that feature can work ONLY when your iDevices connected to the internet (by wifi or 3G/4G). This is an inconvenience/disadvantage (especially when we are playing at some places where internet not available), that also stopped me buying this amp. If Line 6 solve this problem, many people will be back to buy AMPLIFies, I believe.

Let's get real... AMPLIFI was never designed or marketed to be a gigging musicians go to amp.  It is a great practice tool, a nice living room/bedroom amp, great for the kid off to college to have something in the dorm, but to ever think this is your main amp as a working musician is crazy.

While I agree that it is not the best gigging amp, I have to disagree with your statement about it not being marketed as such.  This is from Line 6's website...   Ever take the stage and feel like your guitar amp just can’t keep up? With AMPLIFi, that’ll never be a problem. With 150 watts, you can be sure your tone will cut through loud and clear.

I stand corrected... pretty lame hype... I still stand by the rest of my post...  NOT a real gigging amp without major changes, which may be coming in a future update...  who knows?

I hear ya. I see this amp as more of a "home private party amp" and for people who already have an iPhone or iPad. I really like the concept.

Agree with your Radatats!  I think Line 6 can make it a better amp -- and I think they will.

Greetings

I am pretty stoked like everybody else! Sound,Tones, etc.

I due to the lack of a better word. SOLD my ego stack some time ago.

Seriously! I had a cervical fusion year ago. I currently live with

a herniated bulging lumbar L-4,5 along with needing a new Right knee for about

20 yrs now.( But actually. I was curious about looking into a decent

travel case for that little wonder? Maybe Gator! I don't know.  But here's the rub.

Guitar, lead, and an Amp.Preferably a good to a  great Mic.Depends on you really.Could even be used as an ISO cab.

Tuck it out of sight. Use the midi foot controller that looks like it probably works just as great as the AMP does.

Oh yeah! I'll be singing some serious high praises about that great sounding back saver for quite some time to come. :)

Seriously! Whatever you want. Just dial it in. Go play! It's just that simple. Plug into

your guitar and go have FUN!  See what happens when you can't afford Roadies.

I hear ya dude, theirs nothing like something that's light on wieght (& your skeleton) and heavy on sound. Don't waste anymore of your body on foolish weight lifting (souinds like you already have as I have too) and save what energy and pain free days you (& I) have left on making some music. Rock-On and enjoy. I haven't been dissappointed with anything I've gotten from line 6, excet my DT50 is down and I need to get in for service. If there was any problem it was mostly me trying to understand how to navigate things and understanding what the nature of the device is after that it's all fun. The earlier you start learning how digital music works the faster you get to enjoy it.
