I personally do prefer & almost exclusively use the D-28 models (occasionally the O-18 model) to the the J-200 hands-down ...

Matter of taste, style and playing-style (Jazz, Blues & Latin - picking in my case ...) ...

I'm using & again prefer s/w version 1.9 to any of the previous versions -  v1.9 sounds the most realistic to my ears ...

My 2 pence.

Cheers,

Wolf

yeah complaints are common...

people that like them... those people are too busy playing to come here and sing praises every few months when those that don't like them get rowdy....

nothing wrong with not liking them... it's subjective and your opinion....

but unless you have some sort of scientific survey...

best to present it as just that... your opinion.

I may have exaggerated the word consensus , but if you look you will see that this opinion is very common here in the forum, the only 5 that is actually usable

is not scientific, of course, but then, I would like to know the opinion of people who have actually used the acoustic guitars, the positions 1 and 3 in live situations, I would like to know the opinion of these people.

I usually prefer position 3 when recording.  Most times, the others have too much low end, especially position 5.  This track uses all three models.  P1 is panned left, P5 is center and P1 is right.

Silverhead, if you want a vote, guilhordas has mine. The acoustic models on the JTV are ALL useless.

you could say the same about any amp or any pedal...

some people just prefer to strip it to basics and it works for some...

don't really think those people are the target crowd for JTV's...

in any case, I know lots of people who play out regularly with JTV's and they are able to adapt and overcome...

Getting back on thread.......I'm desperate for Line 6 to get the new models out.  I'm not like the patient souls who are happy to wait.  I'm irritated that my JTV doesn't sound much better than my old Variax 300 and want the new models to blow the old ones away.  And I want it very soon!!  Happy to play with beta software or sub sets of models if that's what it takes....

Hold tight... I'm not the patient type either... but there isn't much longer to wait.... and NO.... I can't be any more specific than that :)

I hope there's some killer demos when it comes out. If not, give us some demos, guys.

Just cause I got a 600 in January doesn't mean I'm not interested in what's new with the JTV!

You DO realize JTV levels can be set in a Pod HD (or Pod XTLive or Pod X3Live or Vetta II) to any level you like, right?

I have not had a chance to gig with my new JTV, but have done MANY shows with my Variaxes (Tele and Gretsch transplants) and have never had any problem matching levels (I use a Pod HD500 and before that a Vetta II). Simply step on a footswitch and the models change, levels preset to wherever I have programmed them... easy!

And to post on topic, YEAH LINE 6, HURRY UP :)

I am quite happy with my L6 guitars and Pod HD at the moment and use them daily but I always welcome any new developments

OK

brokenrecord.jpg

I tried my jtv side by side with a 300, my rsultados were acustiscos of the 300 are really better, especially martins , And I can not understand the reason that, since the jtv should be an evolution of previous models

My biggest hope is in the workbench software that you will be able to adjust string

volume for each string in each model and save it. That would be great.

Thanks

Would be nice, but I think the string volume thing is for calibration purposes only, not to actually customize your tone.

A picture of a broken record is completely the wrong response. These forums exist for us to have a voice to a company we have purchased from and continue to support and get excited about. Fanboys who get their little feelings hurt when we complain are not helpful to the conversation. Similarly, our complaints are useless if we're being hateful.

So to try and actually be productive here - let me say it this way... I totally dig my JTV and lots of other Line 6 products I have purchased over the years. I have so much faith in L6 (they've raised their own standards...that's a good thing), that I think they can do much better when it comes to acoustic modeling and I would love for them to hear my voice in asking that they keep trying to do just that.
