offtheroad Posted April 26, 2014 Share Posted April 26, 2014 Yes I need direction on how to build a 3 or 4 foot stand for my 500X. Reason is I live in New Mexico and will only be using this in house. Setting it down on the carpet with all the static electricity here in this dry state may compromize the components. You can buy a standard table, build a simple one using basic wood materials and a few tools, or consult YouTube to get carpentry directions and tips. Not sure how this community can help you. Try cutting a piece of plywood to fit and cover it with rubber matting. Should be more than adequate for the static... You can also go to Radio Shack for static grounding straps...
