dboomer Posted May 6, 2014 Share Posted May 6, 2014 Setting gain structure when you have a known source is easy but when you have someone signing into a mic you can only anticipate what will happen. So the general idea is to set the trim as high as you can while allowing for as much headroom as you require. For me personally that's usually about 15 dB.
