Could you make the Variax go to factory patches without a POD?

If a POD can make a Variax select factory presets, could it be possible to make it select defaults without one? You'd think this would be a great feature, like if the model knob was a push-pull.

That feature was always kind of hidden, but always reserved for the pod's....

there is not currently a way...

Could you make the knob changes refer to default patches with a POD instead of going to the patched with a POD footswitch?

Would be nice if you want to use the pickup selector with those banks instead of using the foot switch.

The only thing you can do with them without a pod is to use them to overwrite your custom "U" tones as sort of a reset.

don't recall the procedure, but there is a way to do that without a pod.
