Can't see my model pack in my Pod XT device?

Recommended Posts

I just bought "Metal Pack" add-on from Line-store.
I have run Licence manager and I have it in the list for my Pod XT that is also authorized.

But were is it in my pod?

I have my standard 15 A-D presets and User 16 A-D presets, but thats all.

Were can I find the new presets?

aha.. so, one of the Sound examples in this Metal Shop add-on page http://line6.com/modelPacks/metal.html let's take "Bomber Uber" for an illustrative example, I can download it from customtone.com (a .lt6 file that works with podfarm,) but how can I get that file into my pod?

I wish to use my pod and new sounds without computer, is it possible?

You don't need to download any files to get the amps on the list you linked to.

They are just available on your PODxt now.

getting downloaded files to your PODxt is if you want presets from costumtone or that some has shared.

Hurray!!
Now it works!

This thread was a healp: http://line6.com/supportarchivenew/thread/6223

From what I understand there is some erly/older POD xt versions that can not flash thru an USB cable, but only thru MIDI cables via soundcard or USB/MIDI adaptor.

So I Flashed the pod thru my soundcard via MIDI and it worked!

I got the splashscreen now :)

after you flash up, the usb should work even for future flashes... (although there wont be any!...)

just saying for the record that the midi flash is only necessary to flash above a certain level to gain full access to the usb functionality.
