TheRealZap
there are no new presets... you can just use the model pack models now to make your own tones... or download tones that use those models from customtone.com
Blipblop75
aha.. so, one of the Sound examples in this Metal Shop add-on page http://line6.com/modelPacks/metal.html let's take "Bomber Uber" for an illustrative example, I can download it from customtone.com (a .lt6 file that works with podfarm,) but how can I get that file into my pod? I wish to use my pod and new sounds without computer, is it possible?
TheRealZap
you have to use gearbox or line6 edit to get it to the pod.

Blipblop75
I can't find the new amps either in the pod?Whats wrong?
Triryche
You don't need to download any files to get the amps on the list you linked to. They are just available on your PODxt now. getting downloaded files to your PODxt is if you want presets from costumtone or that some has shared. Triryche
I can't find the new amps either in the pod? Whats wrong? When you power up the PODxt, do you see the Metal Shop logo on the splash screen?
Blipblop75
No :'(
Blipblop75
It jumps directly to a preset when power up, no splash screens at all
Blipblop75
Metal Shop is in the list in the Licence Manager under Devices PODXT (and also PC) and is autorized. But no change in POD yet. I have USB connected
Triryche
Can Monkey see it and has green ticks for firmware/drivers? If not, you might need to reflash you PODxt. If there are presets you tweaked and do not want to lose, back them up with Gearbox first.
Blipblop75
I have some green and flash is white and is missing in the installed collum? It looks like this:https://www.dropbox.com/sh/ts84dtdv43j8juz/AADuBuIUH0Kc138M36l1i-lla#lh:null-20140521_232622.jpg
Triryche
That is the issue. It needs to be flashed. If the Monkey cannot flash it, try a different USB cable and USB ports.
Blipblop75
Hurray!!Now it works! This thread was a healp: http://line6.com/supportarchivenew/thread/6223 From what I understand there is some erly/older POD xt versions that can not flash thru an USB cable, but only thru MIDI cables via soundcard or USB/MIDI adaptor. So I Flashed the pod thru my soundcard via MIDI and it worked!I got the splashscreen now :)
TheRealZap
after you flash up, the usb should work even for future flashes... (although there wont be any!...) just saying for the record that the midi flash is only necessary to flash above a certain level to gain full access to the usb functionality. Hurray!!Now it works! Triryche
Cool!! Glad you got it going. Flashing via MIDI crossed my mind, but since you had green for go on the USB firmware and drivers I didn't think that was the case.
