Two different ohmn cabs at once

An 8 ohm cab in parallel with a 16 ohm cab would be an equivalent impedance of 5.3 ohms (the equation for figuring out the equivalent impedance of loads in parallel is 1/Z1 + 1/Z2 + .... 1/Zn = 1/ZTotal, n=number of loads). So you'd actually want to use the 4 ohm jacks. The rating represents the minimum impedance you should drive from the output.
One thing with driving an imbalanced speaker load like this is that the the 8 ohm speaker will be receiving 4 times the power as the 16 ohm speaker. That doesn't necessarily mean it will be louder as other things affect that as well. But it could be.
