etter
Hi there The Volume/Wah on my Shortboard 2 doesn't work together with my POD HD Pro. I've toured with this setup and everything worked fine. Now I've set up POD and Shortboard 2 at home to edit sounds and now I can't make the pedals work the way they should and the way they did. I haven't changed my presets. Also the same happens with the factory presets: The pedals are routed correctly but they don't work. I can press the toeswitch (red light) and I hear the wah is kicking in, but it stays in the treble position. the same with the volume pedal. it stays in the full volume setting, no matter if I move the pedal. In the meantime i updated the POD's software, no change. Any help is very welcome! Thanks Tom
fflbrgst
Sounds like the pot (potentiometer) that is controlled by the pedal has either become disconnected or broken.
phil_m
It sounds as if perhaps you might have EXP1 and EXP2 mixed up. It doesn't particularly matter which one you have controlling which, but you have to make sure you have them set to toggle correctly. When you hit the footswitch on the FBV, you switch from EXP1 to EXP2 (or vice versa). So if the volume is active and controlled by EXP1, and you switch to wah it needs to be EXP2. The quick way to see if you have them backwards is to go to each effect and toggle them on or off with the enter button on the unit.
phil_m
Sounds like the pot (potentiometer) that is controlled by the pedal has either become disconnected or broken. There is no pot on the Shortboard. It's an optical pedal, similar to the pedal on the HD500 and 500X.
