I like your thinking in the tutorial
and the tone is good
I haven't tried your patches yet but do intend to.
When I use any of the stock bass patches or even my own I get the dreaded lumpy bass where some notes just jump out
and resonate annoyingly more than others. I nearly always record via a half decent preamp.
I'll be interested to see if I can smooth out the notes with your patches
Hey, glad you liked it, and thanks for checking it out.
One of the things I learned early on when recording bass was that there's certain frequencies that I needed to do real sharp cuts to make the bass part not suddenly go "boom! look at me! I'm a bass note!"
For me it usually worked to take an EQ in post and just make a super sharp Q cut right at about 133hz. That seemed to be the worst culprit. There's other spots (don't remember the frequencies off the top of my head) that you can do to further level it out, but for whatever reason 133hz seems to be the big one. Just do a super sharp cut there, and it might just solve the whole problem, if what's happening to you is what was happening to me.
If that's not what you're talking about, please excuse my rambling
