michaelkeplinger
I noticed no sound was coming out of my amp when everything else was clearly in check: display, tubes etc. Turns out it was a blown heater fuse, the "B+ tube f2". So upon purchasing two new ones of the exact same kind, both blew out. The first one blew out right away and the second lasted a few days then blew out. What does this mean? Is there another problem source which is making this fuse blow out? It's really annoying. I would appreciate any help, thank you. Attached is the inside, maybe someone can spot something I'm not. silverhead
... Is there another problem source which is making this fuse blow out? ... The answer to that in any situation is usually 'yes, there's an underlying problem'. The purpose of a fuse is to protect a device from experiencing more serious problems by disabling the device before serious damage can be done. Replacing fuses repeatedly and watching them continue to blow up does not solve the problem. Your device needs servicing.
